Foxglove Farm offers childrens' riding lessons on several levels and cater to children from eight to eighteen, though we do make exceptions: we do currently have a 3 year old tooling around on a thirty eight year old retiree. We have several bomb proof horses who can take a child from learning to stay on a horse at a walk. We have several bomb proof horses (and sometimes the same ones!) who can take a child over 3' fences and into basic Dressage, Eventing and Competitive Trails. Though not a Western stable, we have horses who excel at western performace classes, such as barrels and poles.
Our classes are generally one on one or small groups. Foxglove does NOT have an indoor arena, so lessons are restricted to fair weather and though we are open all year at customer's request, there is little opportunity to ride from late November to mid March. Lessons are $15 per or $60 a month (riding once a week). We do not currently offer boarding.
